Dear Friends, Adopters and Supporters of Connecticut’s SPCA,
The SPCA of Connecticut needs your help. This may be our greatest challenge, our doors may be forced to close. The SPCA is faced with increasing operating expenses which have forced us to scale back and cut costs. The need for a new facility bigger and better than our Monroe Adoption Center continues. We hope you can open your heart and make a donation to help us continue to provide the same level of care that we have for the past 11 years. Our mission to pull animals out of the highest kill shelters to find great homes like yours is sadly in jeopardy.
Our fixed expenses (Veterinary care, mortgage, utilities, food, and medication) continue to rise, with medical expenses having quadrupled in the last six months. We continue to insure that every animal is spayed or neutered but need to continue to provide lifesaving surgeries and treatments for issues such as heartworm disease, tumors and broken bones. Sadly, we have not been able to schedule our next big adoption event due to current financial issues (in Hartford we found homes for 360!). We truly do not want to cancel our life-saving rescue transports of 50+ animals at a time that would otherwise have been killed.
Your
“GIVE TO LIVE” donation can make a difference!
$50 The shelter fee for one local rescue dog or cat
$100 One spay /neuter surgery and vaccines
$250 Covers specialty Veterinary procedures
$500 Cost of one heartworm treatment
$1000 Life-saving surgery for an otherwise healthy animal
$1500 2-3 week professional training boot camp for behavior rehabilitation
$2500 Entire cost of one transport to save 50-75 animals
Other Donation
Your donation to the SPCA of Connecticut goes directly to helping needy animals rescued from high kill shelters, puppy mills, and abusive homes. The SPCA of Connecticut has a great staff and volunteer base that provides love and a human connection to the animals, but we cannot continue without you! You can provide food and shelter, a needed lifesaving treatment, and the chance for these animals to find a forever loving home.
Your “GIVE TO LIVE” donation provides hope to many poor, unfortunate animals just waiting for someone to love. Every donation made to the SPCA of Connecticut makes a difference in the lives of homeless animals. So please give generously. If you know of a company that could partner with us in this effort, please include a note with your donation. On your check, please put “GIVE TO LIVE” on the memo line and send to:
